The Camellia Grove is planted in loving memory of Jen Creighton
Jen Creighton
Born

Died

As a small girl Jen planted a Great Eastern camellia outside her bedroom window at the Cordingley family home, "Mihi", near Armidale in the prosperous grazing district of New England.. As an old woman she bought camellias to be planted at "The Drip", Mudgee. This photo was taken in 1993 when Jen visited Camellia Grove Nursery in St Ives to choose plants. Her first choice was Great Eastern, that same variety she had planted three quarters of a century earlier. It is hoped that as the years go by additional camellellas wil be planted, keeping alive the memory of Jen Creighton and celebrating one of the most beloved plants in garden history.
